All players will receive a prerelease deck which contains:

- A 22 card evolution pack featuring cards from the current and prior sets.

- 4 XY- Steam Siege Booster Packs

- 1 of 4 Alternate art Promo Cards

- 1 Deck building tip sheet

plus recieve 3 Booster Packs upon completion of the tournament

Prerelease tournaments are an awesome way to discover a new Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion. Players can get cards up to two weeks before the expansion has launched and start thinking of ways to put together their next great deck. Plus, Prerelease tournaments are fun opportunities to get together with other Pokémon fans!

The format of Prerelease tournaments will be slightly different. Rather than just building a deck out of booster packs, each player will now receive a special Prerelease box. This box contains a 22-card Prerelease pack to provide a solid foundation, plus four 10-card booster packs and an exclusive foil promo card. Players will use the cards from their Prerelease box, plus basic Energy cards provided by the Tournament Organizer, to build a 40-card deck.

Then, it's time to compete against the other Pokémon TCG deck builders! Players will start with only four Prize cards, to accelerate play and account for the smaller decks. There will be three rounds of play. All players will receive 3 Booster Packs upon completion of the tournament.

League Challenge tournaments are designed to provide players with small, entry-level events on a local scale. These events are a great way to get your feet wet in the world of Premier Events. In the Pokémon Trading Card Game League Challenge tournaments, players in each of the three POP-recognized age divisions can work toward earning Championship Points, potentially earning an invitation to the World Championships! The Pokémon TCG League Challenge tournaments in North America will be taking place all year long, usually at the end of each League season. Click More for the rest of the details!

Normally the Pokemon League in Oconomowoc is held at Kowabunga Comics from 12:30 to 3 on Saturdays, with Colleen Lippold as their dedicated League Leader with Derrick Krenke also helping out. Join them to learn, trade cards, build decks, and have fun playing Pokemon!
