TIY also had a player (Immy K 11-14) who went to Worlds to the Grinder
to 'grind his way into Worlds'
Best of luck wishes went to all our TIY Players who went there!!
They all had a great time!
Results are in!
Our James F.
finished Top 4 for 11-14 in the Swiss on 8/19/06!!
On 8/20/06 Finished Top 32 at Worlds!
Our
Ryan B had some bad luck and unfortunately didn't make it into the finals.
But still, winning a World's trip by coming in 7th at Nationals is awesome
and we're proud of him!
Our friends,
Jimmy Ballard and Jason Klaczynski
(from the Chicago area)
battled it out for 1st in 15+,
and Jason came out the Worlds Champion!
Both
of them will have their winning decks and strategies immortalized through
World Champion exclusive decks
available at retail stores soon!
Great Job Guys!!

Worlds
2005
Last year TIY had
3 players, all from the same family, go to Worlds. 10 year old Natalie
Bennett won her trip by competing at a Premiere Event that took place
in Brookfield WI on June 25th, '05. She had previously won a $500 scolarship
from another Regional Event. Since her siblings, Kevin and Ashley were
also great Pokemon players, the entire family went on the trip to San
Diego California. Kevin and Ashley were able to 'grind their way into
Worlds', both earning an invite at the Grinder on Friday.
