What an interesting event we had for this one!

We held it in the Rock-Con Gaming Convention
(but there was no Rock-Con Admission fee for our players, thanks to Tomorrow Is Yesterday!)

It was located at the Wedgbury Indoor Sports Center
(also called Sportscore Two)

It was a nice location, interesting being held during a Gaming Convention, it was a first for us. They were very excited to have us there and were very accommodating.

Entering the Gaming floor... they had lots of other events going on at the same time. Our special name badges allowed our players to roam the floor and look at the other events if they wanted to take a look around.

Here's the view from the upper level as we were getting set up. Our area is mostly the red area towards the back.

People start to arrive

A little bit closer view of our area.

Registration... I'm in there somewhere behind those people at that table...

Waiting to begin...

The Main Event

We had a total of 59 players in the Main event...

Let the battles begin!

Sarah thinks about her move

Gunner draws his cards.

Unfortunately I missed getting a better shot of Alex's ( left) Machamp costume, but it was really clever with a spare set of arms

The Seniors battle it out

The Masters get down to business

Johnny wishes I could've brought in my cookies, but the ISC had rules about not bringing in outside food...so sad!

Keny guards the computer... he's also sad that I couldn't bring in my cookies :(

Toby or James, who will win?

Steven R from PokePress did a feature article on our event

Now that the main event's over, it's time for some trading... What do you want for that one?

Soon we have to go...but wait! Who's that?!

Paul M snuck in as a Snorlax!

Brennan makes a great Ash with his Pikachu!
Players who came in a Halloween costume got a special prize....you wouldn't believe some of the 'costumes' they tried to convince me they were wearing to get one of those booster packs! That was fun! Wish we would have gotten more pictures of some of them. There was a bumblebee, a soccer player, and of course Ash and a Snorlax!

Art Corner

We had some great drawings for the Art Corner too! Some took theirs home before I got pics of them, but here are some that we still had. Thanks to all who participated!

Even Devin "Marriland" submitted a card of his own making!

We handed out a ton of door prizes too!

Including an Empoleon Lv X to Kevin B,
one of the big flat-wrapped Prerelease posters to Sabrina G,
a Pokemon Figure Game Feraligatr starter to Ashley B

Diamond & Pearl sleeves, tins, posters, and
lots and lots of booster packs given out in the ever popular 'Roll-Off' (roll 3 dice and the person with the highest combined total wins the prize at the moment)

Oh and So Sorry I couldn't bring in my cookies to this one... I didn't know they had such a policy :( But a few people made the trek out to my car trunk for some of them that I still brought, just in case. Sorry for those of you that missed getting some! I tried to catch you before you left...(like the Aledo bunch! I looked and you were already gone!)

Hope those of you who came had a wonderful time and a great Pokemon Experience...

Hope to see all of you at our upcoming City Championships! Be sure to bring your friends to that one... it's FREE!!
