A bunch of us are staying at the Blackhawk hotel, only 4 miles away. There's a 2 bedroom (2 Queen beds) cottage with a sleeper sofa in the living room, sleeps up to 6, for only $105. Contact me if you're interested...it's on hold. But I'd suggest if you're going to book rooms for the weekend anywhere, do so early so they don't fill up! Also, if you know you're coming... Here's the game plan: FRIDAY NIGHT We have Tundra Room B from 6:30 - 9:30. This is open to anyone to bring board games, test their decks or play in $5 single elimination pods. We will have one vendor there that night.
SATURDAY
Tundra Rooms A-E will be used for the main tournament.
Tundra Room F is set aside for players and parents to use as well as some fun activities planned throughout the day.
Registration tables and vendor tables will be set-up just outside the entrance to room A & B.
REGISTRATION --- 7:30am - 8:30am
If you are preregistered you can go right inside the main tournament room to the deck check table this year.
Registration day of will be at the main table with Jeff.
PROMO CARDS --- You will recieve your promo card from Jeff when you register.
If you are pre-registered you can get your promo card and surprise from Michelle.
ROSTER CHECK & ANNOUNCEMENTS
--- 9am with start of Swiss Event shortly after that.
SWISS EVENT --- During the main event you will want to make sure you have counted your deck, shuffled and make sure you put out your six prizes.
The winner of each match will be responsible for bringing the match slip up to the registration table.
LUNCH --- There will be a lunch break "about" Noon (exact time will depend on first three rounds & will be announced day of the event)
SUPPER --- After the Swiss event there will be a supper break during which the judges will be performing final deck checks.
This may vary for each section based on number of rounds.
NOTE: There is a concession snack stand available close to the tournament area. Anything purchased in the convention center may be brought into the tournament room.
Outside food and drinks from anywhere else may NOT be brought into the tournament room and will be penalized as unsportsmanlike conduct.
The reason we have to be so strict on this is that if anyone is caught there may be additional rent or cancellation of the room during the event, ruining it for everyone.
Last year this cost us an additional $350. This will NOT happen this year. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
TOP CUTS & PODS --- During Top Cuts, there may be additional pods, same as Friday night based on player interest.
