To answer your questions...

"What can I expect at Regionals? What will it be like?"
Here's a general idea for you: at 9am we'll be opening for Registration... people will come in, get registered, new people will get help if they're unsure of things, decks will be checked to make sure they are in the proper format for this event, players will be writing out their decklists on the Decklist forms we'll have there (or click on the link above to print one out ahead of time), and then turn them in to the Judges. Once they are registered and their decklists are turned in, players are able to participate in some of the fun events we have scheduled, (to keep them entertained while the others are registering etc) such as the Pokemon League fun area where they can play others before the tourney for practice and earn badge pins, or enter the Art Contest, or Trivia Contest, join in on the Poke-Cake Walk for treats, just fun stuff to do while everyone gets registered and ready for the start of the actual tourney at 10:30. After we play a round or 2 (30 mins each) we'll be having a break for lunch, probably around noon... Pizza Hut will come in and sell slices of pizza there, ($2 a slice or whole pizzas available) or kids can bring their own lunch, or parents can take them across the street to any of the local places for lunch. Then back to the business of the tourney at the time we announce. During the day there will also be many door prizes given out to random players, as well as prizes for some of the various contests. When the main event's rounds are finished later in the afternoon, that will be the end of that portion of the competition, and many players will be finished and free to play in the Side Events. We will then have the Top 16 players in each age group play off in the finals - single elimination tournaments to determine the final winners for each age group. First the Top 16 will play - those players who have the best 2 out of 3 games within 1 hour will advance on to the next round. Then the Top 8 will play for an hour, then the Top 4 for an hour, until we have the final matchup for the winner.

But we will also have the other events going on to keep those who were eliminated entertained if they'd still like to stay. There will be free activities as well as some other various Side Event Tournaments for a fee afterwards, I believe ranging from $5 to $15 , some including booster packs or Theme Decks to keep also. There will also be a Super Smash Bros Melee tournament people can sign up for and enter into. There will be controllers provided, but if you want to bring your own, it's recommended. There will be a dinner break announced, depending on the time that the main tournament is finished. The Junior and Senior groups will most likely be finished with everything first, as there are usually fewer players in that age group than in the Masters.

Much more to come!! Check back often as more details are posted!
