Tomorrow Is Yesterday's
Dragon Frontiers Prerelease Results
(was held on Sat Oct 28th)

What a fantastic time we all had at the Prerelease! Amazingly enough we finished the events with a total of 68 players! The North Suburban Women's Club where we held it was nearly filled to capacity! At this time our Prerelease is 4th in the country for total number of players, a tie with our record for the Free City Championships from last year. Way to go Rockford!! That's an Amazing turnout considering we expected about 50-55. We had 4 players in the Junior Division, 17 in the Senior Division, 40 in the Masters Division, and 7 in the more casual Theme Deck Challenge. My thanks to my good buddy Troy L for volunteering to help with the new players in the TDC in light of how busy we were with the main event!

68 players had their fill of Halloween Candy and my cookies!

We had players come from all over the area, including Wisconsin cities of LaCrosse, Milwaukee, Green Bay, Waukesha, and Janesville to name a few, and Illinois players from the Chicago area, Oak Park, Dundee, Mokena, Rockford, Machesney Park, Roscoe, Loves Park, and even players from as far away as Washington IA and Canterbury, CT! So it almost felt more like a mini-Regionals! It was like a big reunion of friends who hadn't seen each other in a while as well as a place we met some new Pokemon friends too! Everyone had a great time!

Ready to play!

We had lots of players come in Halloween costumes, we had cookies and treats, Halloween candy, Halloween decorations, including a singing/dancing Frankenstein! (oh no! He broke the Women's Club 'No Dancing' rule!) We gave out lots and lots of free packs to people who preregistered, people who brought in new people, people in costumes, random people who participated, as well as lots of other goodies. People won free Pokemon T Shirts, sleeves, dice, card tins, card boxes, booster packs, a stuffed Gengar, Count Chocula cereal for Halloween, and of course a free Pass into our next Prerelease event at TIY worth $20.... all kinds of goodies for everyone!

Even our Judges took part in the Halloween fun...

Our Head Judge, 'Prof Oak' Devin, and 'Xaolin Monk' Judge, 'Ninja' Keny

Here's the breakdown as far as 'who won what'...

I see a Mime and a Tennis Pro in there...

'Eminem', a 'Cheeta Girl', and a 'Slipnot guitarist' were also among the players

Who's that hiding in the corner??

'Mad Eye Moody' Dustin and 'Dancin' Frankenstein were there!
(and Frankenstein broke the 'NO DANCING' rule too! Such a rebel)

Players came from all over! Green Bay, Janesville, Urbana, Peoria, LaCrosse...

Billy even came 27 hours by train, all the way from CT to play here!
(Was a chilly day to come dressed as a Tennis Pro though!)

I will defeat you Frankenstein!!

Oh no you won't!
A viscious light sabre battle broke out as Rich
defended Frankenstein's right to dance and sing!

I think I've got this match all wrapped up!

Peace!
Wait...is there a time warp... is it the 70s again?

Ultimate battle between Evil and Good, between Darkness and Light

I wonder how the Mime declared his moves?

Judge Eric in the background oversees the many players while
his buddy Jeff daydreams about winning the tourney.

A happy 'Roselia' plays her match

Do you see the Hamburger??

May the best man win!

I think we can safely say that a great time was had by all!
