What an AWESOME time we had at the Rockford City Championships held at the North Suburban Women's Club. Despite the bad snowy conditions, we had a total of 108 players attend! A little info for you: Rockford was the 2nd largest City Championship in North America, with only Portland, OR having more than ours (29/35/49=113). There were only 3 CCs to hit triple digits (Rockford, Portland OR, Burlington NJ), and only 6 that hit 90 (Huntley IL, Portland II, Milford MA). City Championships Video #1
We ended up with a total of 108 players... 20 Juniors, 30 Seniors, and 58 Masters. We got off to a bit of a late start because a lot of people were in line arriving late due to the bad weather. Also, as we saw the room rilling up, we realized the 96 seats we had weren't going to be enough, so we sprung into our 'Plan B' and sent someone over to bring more tables from TIY. But once things got going, all went smooth. We took a lunch break after round 2, having everyone return for 1:15. TIY sold snacks, soda, juices, vitamin waters, packs, sleeves, decks and dice, and I also made fudge brownies for everyone :)
Top 4 finishers in each of the three age categories received the following prizes: 1st Place 2nd Place 3rd & 4th Place Juniors(20) Hope everyone had a great time!
