Here are the results for our Rockford
City Championships!
When it took place: Sunday, Jan
8, 2006 Registration/lunch started: 11:30am Tourney began (late) at approx
1:30pm
Where it took place: North Suburban Women's Club (just down
the street from TIY)

We had an amazing turnout for our 2nd Rockford City Championships!
Our final total number of players (for my first official PTO event)
was a whopping 68!! We had 37 players for the 15+ age group,
22 for 11-14, and 9 for 10-. Our totals, as of this date, put us
at the 3rd highest number of players in attendence for a City Championships
in the country! Not bad Rockford!! We had a lot of support from
the surrounding areas, and had players from the Chicago area, Milwaukee
area, and even as far as Manchester Iowa! Best players in the area!
The winners (and the decks they were playing and

I think overall, considering we had about 20 more
players than I thought we would, everything went fine! A late start
due to the sheer volume of unexpected players, data to add in, and
later a bit of a snag with a computer problem, but for the most
part I think it went great and everyone had a good time! We had
fantastic media coverage too, with 2 TV stations there, a segment
on Channel 17 5pm news, and front page coverage on Saturday
and Monday in the Rockford Register
