Store Opens at 10
But only the dedicated first 60 players in line will be able to enter to play at this special event!
Registration from 10am to 10:50am
(Players turning in decklists after 10:50am will be entered in Round 2)
Tourney starts at 11am
This will be a special tournament that's designed to give players another opportunity to work on their premier ratings, potentially earning an invite and trip to Worlds.

We only room for most likely a maximum of 60 players (perhaps more). Since I know we have a LOT of players that come from all around the area for our events, we've come to the conclusion that the only way to do it to be the most fair will be to have our Battle Road on a first come, first serve basis. I hate to limit the number of players, but that's just how it has to be for now.
I'll also link all the area Battle Road information below, to help you find another that's close to your location, if you feel it's too risky to get in, to make a long distance trip to our event.
If you're traveling a great distance to come to ours
I suggest getting there early ...
our Rockford Battle Road will have to be

for the first 60 players in line.
The store opens at 10am, so if you want to try to get in, be there early.

As the store opens, we'll give out numbers to the people in line.
After you get your number, you can enter the game room and fill out your decklist, playtest with others, trade cards, color in Pokemon Drawings, whatever you like until we get started at 10:50, which will be the last call for turning in decklists and getting entered in the tourney. (If you turn in your decklist after 10:50, you'll still be able to enter, but you'll be entered in Round 2 with a loss for round 1).
Here is the Battle Road Decklist (pdf), if you'd like to print it and fill it out ahead of time. Otherwise, we'll have copies there for you to fill out. I'd suggest if you're going to fill it out there, that you have your deck all lined up so it's ready to list out to save time.
For those of our players who will be in the tournament, here is some information for you.
Most likely will be Age Separated Swiss (everyone will play within their own age group in all the rounds, the number of rounds being determined by number of players in each age group)
Age groups:
• Junior Division: Born in 1998 or later
• Senior Division: Born in 1994, 1995, 1996, or 1997
• Masters Division: Born in 1993 or earlier
Also after the Swiss Rounds, in each of the 3 age groups we will have a Top Cut,
with either a cut to Top 2 or Top 4, depending on the number of players in that age group.
The top 2 finishers in each of the three age divisions will receive the following prizes:
1 st Place
8 Rising Rivals Booster Packs
A Victory Medal—Gold promo card
2 nd Place
4 Rising Rivals Booster Packs
3rd & 4th Place
Guaranteed Door Prize
And not to worry if you don't make the Top Cut, we have lots of fun Door Prizes to give away, and, as always, I'll bake cookies for you too :)

Break for lunch until 1:15
1:20 - 2:00 Round 3
2:10 - 2:50 Round 4
(Jr and Srs will most likely have Top 2 after Round 3 or 4)
2:50 - 3:00 Deck Checks Jrs/Srs
3:00 - 4:00 Top 2 Jrs/Srs
3:00 - 3:40 Round 5 Masters
