TIY's Pokemon GameBoy Tourney Rules

These are the rules for our TIY GameBoy Tourney. It's free to enter,
and GameBoy Prizes will be awarded at the end of the Tournament to the Top 3 Players..
We've had a lot of fun with the previous TIY GB Tourneys and hope you'll enjoy yourself!

Setup

* All Gameboy Battles in the Tournament are for the Advance Generation games (Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald FireRed, and LeafGreen). Saves from Pokemon Colesseum, Pokemon XD, or any GB/GBC Pokemon game are not allowed.

* Players must save at a Pokemon Center and have their Team of up to 6 Pokemon, each ranging from Level 2 to Level 100, in their Party before registering.

* Players may have only one of each Pokemon on their Team. (i.e., you cannot have two Mr. Mime on your team)

*Certain Pokemon are banned from use in the Tournament:

Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo, Mew, Entei, Raikou, Suicune, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Latias, Latiosz, roudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Jirachi, and Deoxys may not be included on your Team.

* Your Team's Pokemon cannot have more than one of any one type of Item as a Held Item. (i.e., only one Pokemon on your team may hold Leftovers)

* Wynaut or Wobbuffet may not hold the item Leftovers.

* No Pokemon on your Team can have the Soul Dew or Enigma Berry as a Held Item.

* A Judge will inspect and record all Teams before the Tournament begins.

* All Pokemon's stats and Moves must be legally obtainable in the game. Any illegal or suspiciously high stats, irregular moves, or other irregularities may be subject to disqualification if a game enhancement device or other game-altering method is the cause.

* You may not switch your Team's Pokemon between each Tournament battle. (You may reorder your Team between Tournament battles.)

Battles

* All battles are going to be 6-vs-6 Single Battle, where each player will use all 6 Pokemon on their Team to battle the other player in a Single Battle (one Pokemon vs. one Pokemon at a time).

* There is no time limit for each match, but if matches exceed 20 minutes, a Judge may call the match based on Knocked Out Pokemon and remaining HP.

* You may not affect more than one of your opponent's Pokemon with Sleep at a time (i.e., you may not use Sleep Powder if one of your opponent's Pokemon is already Asleep.)

* You will recieve a loss if you use Selfdestruct, Explosion, or Destiny Bond with your last Pokemon.

* You may forfeit your match at any time by selecting Run.

* Anyone using a game-enhancement device or anything else that could alter the outcome of the match will be disqualified.

* Anyone that disconnects his or her Game Link cable mid-battle or post-battle before the Battle Record has been saved will be disqualified.
